A look at FoRR the City in motion — basketball camps, professional development sessions, and the kids whose stories we get to be a small part of.
Each month we recognize a student who has achieved in school and/or extracurricular activities. Meet our most recent honoree.
Excited to announce our @forrthecity Spotlight Student of the Month for May, Ms. Presley Ava Mitchell. Presley was told she would have childhood health problems that would prevent her from having a sense of normalcy. Yet, she has overcome them all!
Presley attends Moore Square and has been on the A/B honor roll every quarter. Presley is thankful for her village — Stanley and Shirley Mitchell, her Aunt Laura Davis, Ashley Love, Brandon Davis, Donald and Patricia Carrington, her principal Shane Barham, and Dr. Harold Overcash.
Presley aids her friends in mental health crises, and has helped her mother be more aware of those signs. Please join us in congratulating Presley on her Student of the Month selection!
Every program, event, and partnership we build is designed around the same five pillars — the foundation we use to measure impact.
Equipping students with resources to contribute to academic success.
Introducing various career paths, skills, and professional networks to level the playing field for underserved youth.
Coaching youth on the nuances of life.
Partnering with organizations and causes in the Raleigh community to cultivate service-oriented youth.
Investing in the development of dynamic, capable future leaders through career readiness programs.
