Student of the Month

FoRR the City is excited to share its new programming, events, and fundraisers for 2024 with its community. To start, we would like to recognize and highlight students who have achieved in school and/or extracurricular activities on our Instagram, Facebook, and website. To nominate a student for the Spotlight Student of the Month, click on the nomination form provided below. We will make our first selection in March. The deadline for submissions is the 25th of each month. Each student recognized will be mailed a special gift that will aid them in continuing their good work. Our board will review all of the submissions and you will be notified via email if your child is selected. We encourage all parents and teachers to nominate students who have shown exceptional dedication and achievement in their community or school. This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize and celebrate the hard work and positive impact of our youth. The special gift that each recognized student will receive is a symbol of our appreciation and support in their future endeavors.

Please make sure to carefully review the submission guidelines and ensure that all necessary materials are included. We look forward to receiving your nominations and celebrating the incredible achievements of our young leaders.

GABRIEL KOFI JEFFREY

Our Spotlight Student of the Month for April 2024

Gabriel has worked hard in school to make the honor roll. He is taking Spanish for High School in middle school and improved his grade to an 88 and it continues to get better. Gabriel also brought up his social studies grade to an 88. He continues to work hard and practice what he’s learned last summer “ to really give your work your best effort.” This lesson was brought to him again from the lessons he learned at FoRR the City Basketball Camp. Gabriel is also in the YMCA leadership class where he gets the chance chance to show new members how things operate, and works hard to voluntarily show how leaders should grow and develop their skills. He is also a member of the Teen Youth Development at church (Watts Missionary Baptist Church) shows others the things he’s learned can be lessons, we share with others in our lives. He has worked hard to grow and be a better student, friend and son.
